  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp finely grated ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely grated
  • 8 skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, honey, ginger, and garlic.
  3. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs, skin side down, and cook until skin is golden brown, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Turn the chicken thighs over and pour the soy sauce mixture over them.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast until chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbling, about 20-25 minutes.
  6. Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle the chicken with toasted sesame seeds.
  7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
