Homemade Margherita Pizza

  • 1 ball pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste


  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Brush the dough with olive oil and evenly sprinkle the minced garlic over it.
  4. Arrange the mozzarella slices and tomato slices evenly over the dough.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately scatter fresh basil leaves over the top. Slice and serve hot.
